This tool can be used to achieve the Instructing aspect of Teaching (T3) by allowing teachers to create videos to present content to students. I have actually used this tool personally and both as a student watching my professor's  Loom , and it works great! Loom  is a video platform where you can record videos using both your camera and screen at the same time, which is extremely useful! Another super great aspect of  Loom  is that once you are done recording your video, you are provided with a link. You can post this link anywhere (like Google Classroom for example for your students to see) and anyone with the link can watch your video without making an account.     This blog entry is about a tool of my own interest from the list of T3 Instructing Technologies provided by Dr. Wang. I chose to explore the website:  Time Graphics . This tool can be used to achieve the Instructing aspect of Teaching (T3) by allowing teachers to create digital timelines as supplemental material to teach a lesson. For example, for my second mini-lesson we're currently doing in class, I'm using  Time Graphics  as a "social studies knowledge expression" activity, and having students create their own timelines about the thirteen colonies. When you go to  Time Graphics  and click "Create" it brings you to this blank screen. You can hover your mouse over any area of the timeline to create an event/time period/percentage/statistic for that time, and you can also import data from Google analytics/calendar/ or spreadsheet. However for my situation, if the year you need is currently present on the timeline, you can press the "new event"...

This tool can be used to achieve the Instructing aspect of Teaching (T3) by allowing teachers to create animated videos to present content to students. However, I also think it could be used as an informal assessment tool, to have students create their own animated videos about what they learned. When you login and begin creating a new video you are asked if you are writing your own script or uploaded a PowerPoint file to use instead. This is a neat function because if you already have a PowerPoint finished about the lesson topic and just wanted to convert it into an animated video, you could do so without having to start from scratch. This blog entry is about a tool of my own interest from the list of T3 Instructing Technologies provided by Dr. Wang. I chose to explore the website:  TeacherTube . This tool can be used to achieve the Instructing aspect of Teaching (T3) by showing educational and school-appropriate videos to students. On the home page there are quick links to various subjects for easy navigation, along with a tab for educational songs, which are used very frequently in the elementary grade levels.  Another thing I liked is that when you click on a subject,  TeacherTube  organizes the videos into different grade levels. This makes it great for teachers to easily find content that is appropriate for their students. Overall, I found this website to be very easy to use. This blog entry is about a tool of my own interest from the list of L3 Creation Technologies provided by Dr. Wang. I chose to explore the website:  StoryJumper .  This tool can be used to achieve the Creation aspect of Learning (L3) by allowing students and classes to publish stories and practice their writing skills! I have actually been on the student side of this and LOVED it!! I still have my two published books that my classes made in elementary school, and look back on them to this day.  It is free to make an account AND to share your books digitally. However, if you want to order physical copies for your class here are the prices: Overall, I think this website would be pretty easy to use. You can create a lesson and instruct your class to write a short story/poem/anything about any topic if your choosing. Afterwards, you compile them into a book! T his blog entry is about a tool in Dr. Wang's PPT about previous T3PP results. Specifically  Teach Your Monster  in the 30/118 software technology list. I was particularly interested in this tool because I have never heard of it before, and the name alone told me it would probably be very engaging for students. This tool could connect to event 3, 5, AND 7 of our 7 Events Framework. Teach Your Monster  is a website or app that is free for students to use that helps students learn to read, learn math, and there's even games about nutritional content! I signed up for a free teacher account, and it prompted me to either create a group or a player. To create a group you enter a name for your group, students names, and then you either choose password cards to give to players, or parent letters can be sent directly to the parents. T his blog entry is about a tool in Dr. Wang's PPT about previous T3PP results. Specifically  Zoom  in the Top 15 Software mentioned by Secondary Teachers list. I was particularly interested in this tool because it was reported by MANY teachers in both  the elementary and secondary teachers results. This tool definitely connects to the C part of the TLC framework that we have discussed in class (Communication). I have utilized  Zoom  previously for various events, and it was very popular during COVID when students had to do online learning. It is a tool used for video calls/meetings. To join a meeting you simply enter a "Meeting ID" or click a specific link to join, and sign in to your account. T his blog entry is about a tool in Dr. Wang's PPT about previous T3PP results. Specifically  Lexia  in the Top 15 Software mentioned by Elementary Teachers list. I was particularly interested in this tool because I know it is utilized very frequently in elementary schools in Spokane Public Schools. I also think that this tool could be used for event 4, 5, and 7 in our 7 Events Framework. Lexia  is an adaptive  literacy tool that students can get on and have lessons to complete about various literacy components. Students work independently on lessons that ENGAGE them, they act as explorers and travel to different countries with corresponding lessons. Teachers and schools also get to see real-time data to give feedback and differentiate instruction.
